I have a simple question for everyone judging 15 year old Miley Cyrus right now:
"What is a slut?"
You might laugh and think 'Woaaah, this person is really losing it. Duh. Miley is the slut.'
Wrong answer.
Look at Miley Cyrus's 'scandalous' images that you've seen, like me, probably on The Gossip Girls and tell me that you don't have pictures like that in your photobucket or file of images on your laptop, sidekick or whatever. Images either of you, or a friend or friends or maybe even friend's of friends. Basically, if you're under the age of 25 and you have peers, you'll see some girl or other with pictures like that. It's guaranteed! It's a fact!
Heck, you can be the most religious person and completely against excessive flesh exposure but you know what, it still happens despite the fact that we can argue over the morality of it.
Now would you call these people that you know sluts? I sure as hell wouldn't because guess what? I know these girls, I see them every day at school and I talk to them and I see how they function as perfectly normal members of society and it kills me to admit this but some of them are smarter then me... Boo! The difference between me and them is that they have the body to flaunt, me? Not so much!
The fact is: Miley Cyrus isn't a slut. The media is a whore and a pimp generating sluts and Miley's just another poor passerby that's been dragged into it.

The websites who are reporting these images and are posting on them and then adding distasteful and really dim-witted remarks like 'Oh, isn't Billy Ray proud?' are fucking hypocrites. I'm sorry but where I come from: if you think something is wrong (for example: behaving inappropriately in pictures) then you don't normally spread the immorality of that around for other people to see. If someone was murdered by some crazy axe-wielding person - do we really need to see the pictures of the mutilated victim? No thank you! This is just a classic example of the media getting its sick kicks from exploiting icons in the spotlight.
Do me a favour, people. Stop talking about it. If you hate Miley Cyrus, good for you, here's a round of applause and a pineapple. The more shit you talk about her, the more famous you make her.

When I first read about Vanessa Hudgen's nude pictures ordeal, I didn't even batter a single eyelid because my first thought was "Well, she's hot as hell, she's in a business where she'll be exploited and have no privacy anyway... if she didn't take nude pictures of herself, it wouldn't be long before some disgusting TMZ pap took pictures of her topless on a beach or something."
Miley took pictures considered raunchy even though she has a 'perfect tween-idol' image to keep up. Well guess what? She's a human being just like me and you with red blood just like me and you. She's a young girl just like I was when I was 15 years old and she's finding her way. Let's face it, ladies, our world is full of pressures to look a certain way. When you hit puberty, you pretty much realise (wrongly) that 'If I'm not sexy, I'm nothing'. That pretty much summed up these last few years of high school for me. Gradually everyone finds their path and their way.
One thing I despise is people comparing Miley to Vanessa Hudgens or Britney Spears. For one thing: What the hell is wrong with Vanessa Hudgens? What's so bad about being Britney Spears? They're both rich, successful women and the only downside is that the media exposes their most intimate moments; which is exactly why Britney flipped and really gave them a reality show with shock moments every time she stepped out of the house and it had disastrous consequences for her life and health. Also, the situation with Vanessa Hudgens only made her stronger. I don't think Vanessa should have even had to apologise and I hope Miley doesn't even dignify these photos with a response because it's not needed.
When people spend this much time hating celebrities and talking shit about them and exposing their flaws... you KNOW they have nothing going on in their lives to keep them entertained. But guess what? The personal lives of celebrities aren't here for your entertainment.
Miley didn't send these pictures to you: they were leaked. Vanessa didn't send these pictures to you: a ghost from her past caught up with her when she was famous and most vulnerable.

I don't care and neither should anyone else. When I flip on the news, I expect to hear about murderers being sent down for their heinous crimes and when the hell our troops are going to stop torturing themselves and the poor Iraqis and come home. I don't expect to see live 24-hour-around-the-clock surveillance of Britney Spear's house, thanks! Assholes.
EDIT: I was extremely angry writing this blog! I just read it over and realised I was really flipping out. Sorry for the excessive swearing, guys. Sometimes we all have a frustrating day - I'm no exception. MILEY FTW!

i hated miley's guts before i read this but you make a lotta sense, i gotta admit. i'm still not loving her but i agree with what you mean. i have girlfriends and we goof off with pics like that all the time so yeah... i guess. thanks for the blog, nice rant lol
i hate miley
why take pix like that anyway it is sick
IF U HATE MILEY U SHOULD HATE VANESSA HUDGENS TOO COS SHE TOOK DIRTIER PICS AND SHE WAS ABOUT 15/16 TOO COS IT WAS AROUND THE TIME SHE FILMED THUNDERBIRDS
Maybe it's different in the states, but here in canada, if we took pictures like that we'd be called a slut. [when I say we, i mean people i know from my experience] I've ntaken pictures like that, mayube even closer to the kinda vanessa took, but I deleted them first thing after I saw them. I wouldn't even think about posting them anywhere.
me again. yeah, I wouldn't call miley a slut. I think shes really talented, despite taking a few over-the-top pictures of herself.
I Really don’t care what she does in her private life but this is not the first time it has happened And that is the issue. She should have learnt from the other times not to put her private shit on myspace. This has happened to her a number of times within the last 6 months, she should stop taking those type of pictures or just stop putting them on the internet for everyone to see, its that simple. Unless this is a deliberate attempt to get more attention and show she is not so innocent.
I just wish she wouldn't put it out there on her myspace for everyone to see. She knows what the media can do, so I think it would be the best for her to just not put those kinds of pics out there. But what's done is done, and hopefully she'll learn from this.
Miley for the loss.
ok i'm not a miley fan but i don't judge her, everyone has taken a pic like that in their teenage days, maybe not a pic but you do something wild at one point... and being a V fan i totally agree with you that they're not completely guilty about those pics being in the media, they didn't leak it, those were personal, anyway great blog
