Hottie Ashley Tisdale graces the cover of OK! Magazine this month.
With new hair, new style and a new attitude, it seems like Tizzy Fizzy is running as fast as she can in her stilettos all the way away from her Disney character Sharpay and good for her! Too bad she is still contractually obliged to be Disney's bitch, though! Unlike co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron - the Tizz hasn't yet escaped!
Nonetheless, check her out in OK! where she talks about her best friends Miley and Vanessa, about curvy girls like Jessica Alba and her own eating habits - bitch claims to eat McDonald's and omelettes!!!
Tizzy's new album Guilty Pleasure drops June something or other. I don't really care!
With a number one hit album, the Jonas Brothers are finally winning over the confidence of their record labels and are being boosted to new heights. What might these new heights be? Well, let's see, they have a WORLD tour coming and well, if you've got a world tour coming up... it's only right you go see some of this world, right?
The super-hot trio were spotted by stalkerazzi in Paris, France earlier today (10th October) as they checked out the City of Lights.
The boys were also seen taking a little shopping spree and heading into a Louis Vuitton store before stopping to dine at a restuarant. Can I just say - can someone please take the damn Louis Vuitton's away from these Disney kids? It makes me seethe with rage that I shall never be able to afford such luxuries unless I give into the inevitable and start trafficking Serbian women around Europe. Damn my moral high grounds.
In an interview with Catholic Online, Demi Lovato spilled that she spent her birthday with her band at Applebee's. As well as that, she talked about her new Disney show and touring with the Jonas Brothers.
Q: How excited are you about your album coming out this week? A: It's awesome. It's crazy. I can't believe I'm actually coming out with an album. I'm very nervous, but I'm excited at the same time.
Q: What artists have influenced what you do as a musician?
A: I think Kelly Clarkson. Also Paramore. They have a great sound. The Jonas Brothers co-wrote and produced six of the songs and they had a lot of input, so they influenced the album.
Q. You recently turned 16. What was the party like? A. I didn't really throw a party. I went to Applebee's with my band. Q. Really?
A. Yeah, I love Applebee's. On the day of my birthday, I had a concert so 18,000-20,000 were singing happy birthday to me. It was awesome. Q. Being in that pipeline of Disney, it's gotta be like playing for the Yankees or something? With that history of success, is there pressure? A. I'm not really worried about that. Right now I'm doing what I love to do. It just so happens to be Disney and they happen to be one of the coolest companies ever. It's like a family over there. They don't really put pressure on us. Q. When you're being tabbed as the next Miley Cyrus or the next Jonas Brothers, how does that effect you? A. I'm not allowed to read some of the gossip sites because they really take a toll on you. So I don't see a lot of that. I like to focus on what I'm doing. I'm just having a good time right now.
Q. What have you learned about the industry from spending time with Jonas Brothers while touring, doing "Camp Rock" and working on your album? A. They're very down-to-earth guys. They taught me to stay anonymous in some places I go. They've just helped a lot on tour.
Q. You've started on "Welcome to Holliwood," right?
A. Yes, we just finished the first episode last night. Q. What's it like so far starring in your own series?
A. It's very crazy. I was nervous in the beginning. It's hard to carry a comedy show. If you're not funny, the show is not going to be funny. I've never had a lot of confidence in comedy, but I've really let loose and totally had fun with it. Last night, I started off really nervous and in the first take I messed up all the words. Overall, though, it turned out very well.
Q. What's tougher, you think: Filming a TV show in a front of a live audience or the day your CD comes out?
A. Definitely the day the CD comes out. The TV show is more relaxing. You've got all day to do your thing. Half the time I'm in school, so I get to relax in school.
As much as I love Demi Lovato, these new promo pics for her album 'Don't Forget' seem a little risque for a sixteen year olds photoshoot.
I know, I know, I'm being a prude and being old and annoying and all that 'get with the times, grandma' jazz but come on?
Black stillettos?
The leather gloves?
The tight leather pants - which I know are seriously in style right now but still...?
The coyly sinking her teeth on a microphone's cord?
I just find Disney and Hollywood Records a little hypocritical that they want their stars to not show any flesh but it's OK to nonetheless have photoshoots filled with sexual innuendos? And no, this is not me reading into this photoshoot a little too closesly, a guy I know (not by choice!) saw these and was like 'I'd like to bounce her off my pee-pee!' My response 'She's sixteen, bucko.' That put a damper on things... I hope.
Now that Britney Spears' record label have announced that the pop princess is set to make a big and highly anticipated comeback by dropping her sixth studio album before Christmas this year - it seems the spotlight is back on Brit.
Of course, that spotlight can blind - especially when it's being beamed at Britney by hoards and hoards of paparazzi. These are the leeches who watched her gradual decline and witnessed her degradation only a few months ago. Now, it's been a while and Britney's managed to avoid the intense paparazzi-freak-outs but since the VMAs and what with all the 'OMG BRITNEY COMEBACK!' hype... the little creeps are back on the hunt!
Britney on Monday afternoon, picking up a drink with her entourage from Starbucks.
Britney the very next day; Tuesday (September 16th), looking a lot more awake and well-dressed as she made her way to a dance studio in Beverly Hills, California.
Britney on Thursday, yesterday, at Calypso boutique in Los Angeles. What happened on Wednesday? Did Britney not leave the house? Aww, poor paps...
Am I the only one thinking that this could all get to be too much, too soon for Miss Spears?
This summer, Disney starlet Vanessa Hudgens has been taking to stages across the States and even out in Mexico to debut her second album 'Identified'. With this tour, fans will be able to identify a new, Disney-free Vanessa Hudgens who emphasises that she 'just wants to have fun' now that high school is over.
And it looks like she's been having a LOT of fun up on the stage! Check out these pictures which I just *had* to post of Baby V bringing out her sexy side.
The girl can high-kick!
Blowing a kiss to the fans like a true professional!
Vanessa's Cru... with a 'u'... 'cos it's so much more badass... and now my commentary is getting lame...la la la
I love this shiny outfit she's wearing. It's probably been my favourite throughout her tour. Sparkly, sparkly!
Heh... insert sexual innuendo here...
I love the expression on her face. The photographers at these concerts must have a tough job capturing artists in photos that can be called 'flattering'... after all, how many flattering photos do you have where your jumping around and breathing heavily? Ugh, why do I have SEX on the brain today?!
Whatever the future holds for Miss Hudgens post-High School Musical, judging by her enthusiasm and talents on stage this summer - I can just tell it's going to be bright. It's almost hard to believe a year ago in September 2007, many of her fans and haters were fearing/rejoicing that her career was over and now look at her - she has gone from strength to strength. I'm tempted to buy a gold plated plaque with the engravings 'VANESSA HUDGENS: One year on and still strong' and send it to her... but that might be creepy and cryptic... and I'm really trying to lay off the 'creepy' for a while. Just until Joe Jonas drops his sexual harassment charges against me anyway. SOURCE: GossipGirls
Seriously, someone give Rihanna a big gold trophy... like, right now!
No, no, it's not for her brilliant album 'Good Girl Gone Bad'. She's had plenty of awards for that, everyone has pretty much recognised her talent and bowed down before her on that.
No, she deserves more recognition and it's because she is the hottest, classiest female artist out there right now. Living. Breathing. Existing.
She always looks fashionable, stylish and HOT and she makes it look so easy.
These outtakes from her Cosmopolitan shoot pretty much prove my point.
It's girls like her that give me low self-esteem, I swear, but I love them anyway and I obssess over them anyway. It's totally worth it!!!
Ashley Tisdale turns 23 on July 2nd this year and yet, fits in congruently as one of the main three from the cast of High School Musical.
See, don't they all look picture-perfect? Young, beautiful, sucessful...
It's almost like Disney genetically manufactured Tisdale, Efron (20) and Hudgens (19) because these three just fit together so perfectly. Of course, they've all branched off into their seperate careers. Zac has his 17 Again and Orson Welles and Hudgens has Will.
I read today that Ashley will be starring in a re-make of the amazing Teen Witch here.
You guys remember Teen Witch, right?
It was only the movie that changed my life! (No pressure, Tisdale!)
I thought this was an interesting project for the Tisdale to embark on. She's notably known for her Disney-esque image and let's face it, she's a remarkable role model and highly professional. This role will be a very interesting one. It'll certainly give her the opportunity to explore with depths in her acting.
Britney Spears. Gosh, her little antics kept the bloggers and TV networks fuelled full of gossip for a couple of weeks there, didn’t they?
You know what else is interesting?
The stars of hit TV shows like Gossip Girl and Heroes. Who saw Hayden P and Milo Ventimiglia’s little relationship coming? Man, there’s a significant age difference between them so it means we can criticise them! YAY! And then there’s the gossiplicious hottie Chace Crawford and his break-up with Carrie Underwood. They broke up through text messages and wow, that just had everyone recalling ‘Federline-Spears’ break-up all over again!
And do you know what’s interesting right now?
Vanessa Hudgens. Her little nude pictures stunt was Perez Hilton’s dream come true.
Yes, these stars are very interesting. They live these little lives that we get to read and for a couple of minutes or hours or even days, we escape from our own lives. We have chores to do, some have errands to run, others have mortgages to pay and families to feed.
But doesn’t it make you feel like you’re in an alternate universe when you’re reading about these people? No wonder you’re getting a buzz out of the paparazzi videos, the candid photos and the stories hot off the rumour mill. It’s good to know that these untouchable, super-glamorous people crash and burn too.
And boy, do the media know it.
They know we love seeing Vanessa Hudgens’ sweaty two hundred pound or so father yell abuse at a TMZ cameraman and they know we love watching Zac and Vanessa walking out of a restaurant in California after New Years. They know we love watching beautiful people lead beautiful lives that sometimes mess up. It’s the perfect reality soap opera.
What they also know is that we are contributing to their magazine sales, the hits their webpages get and the ratings their TV shows have.
What they also probably know is that sometimes watching the pretty people makes us feel ugly and depressed because they don’t feel ‘interesting’ but of course: THEY don’t care about that. I’ll be honest, I look in the mirror and I see a monster and hey, that’s not just me being ‘modest’ – little kids run away from me in the street and old grannies scream in horror at me in the supermarket. I can deal with it.
This Friday (the 11th April), Vanessa Hudgens debuted her first single from her second album ‘Identified’ on Radio Disney. The single is called ‘Sneakernight’ and you can check it out here if you haven’t already (although I seriously doubt anyone ‘in the zone’ hasn’t heard it yet!).
How would I describe this? It’s jazzy and Vanessa definitely explores a range of vocals we never got to hear in her first album. Sneakernight proved one thing to me for sure. The girl’s got a voice and the girl’s got a little soul in her. However, she doesn’t carry the song well. The chorus wakes you up again and really gets your head bouncing but the verses were a strange place for me. And my mother told me strange places are bad, especially when a 45 year old retired gym teacher tries to take you to one....
So what does Vanessa’s ‘Sneakernight’ have to do with her having the best fans in the world and my point about the media often depressing us with these beautified images of these idols?
Well, here’s my point. Sometimes you’re having a bad day (or maybe this is just me...) and you flip open a magazine and see these pretty, beautiful people with their lives talking about another holiday home they’ve bought for a ridiculous amount of money in some exotic location and you think: ‘YOU DIRTY LITTLE MOTHERFUCKER!’ Or, you know, if you’re a nicer person then me, you think: ‘When am I going to get a break? These people are people, they’re just like me and they can do this. Am I doomed to failure?’ Like I said, sometimes you go to a dark, depressing place and the last thing you need is skinny famous people with more money than they can handle shoved in your face. Sometimes you think ‘Hey, Rihanna... if I hadn’t bought your album, if my friends hadn’t bought it, if I’d taught my grandma how to illegally download it instead... you wouldn’t be in your fancy little car. So shut up, Rihanna. Just shut up. Stop smiling. Stop Rihanna, for the love of God, Rihanna STOP!’ (I have nothing against Rihanna, she’s lovely...). It only makes sense that you would question ‘Where’s my recognition for buying your damn DVD/CD?’ because the sad truth is, a lot of stars these days forget to thank the FANS. I think fans should at least be second on your ‘list of people to thank in my acceptance speech for my Emmy’, you know?
So.
Vanessa Hudgens. Sneakernight. Lots of ‘OMG! I can’t wait’ and a ton of anticipation that has been leading up to the premiere of the single for almost months. Fans have seen the pictures of her going into a recording studio in the morning and leaving when it’s dark. Reports have been coming through that she was working impressively hard on it and the producers working with her were impressed. Cue the fan hysteria. Wait, let me amend that. Cue the loyal fan hysteria. Fans who saw her ‘naughty area’ and still stuck by her. Fans who scrounged for even the tiniest piece of information about her new album for months. Wild assumptions stating she could be working with the likes of Timbaland and that her album was going to be one of the best of 2008 started to circulate.
Then the single was released and the response across fan-boards was pretty much varied. There were sprinkles of ‘she sounds so different! Wow. I love it’ and others of ‘NOOOO! I stayed up until 2am in the morning on iTunes for this?!’ But the general consensus seemed to be: ‘It was an OK song but definitely not the best and I feel Vanessa has a lot of potential left’.
See that?
That’s what the unanimous agreement seems to be.
Now don’t you think Vanessa Hudgens fans absolutely rock?
I sure as hell do!
I went to bed late Friday night and didn’t get to listen to the song.
I wake up on Saturday morning and hit ‘SNEAKERNIGHT’ into YouTube. There were well over a hundred videos there, I’m sure. This is how dedicated and loving these guys and girls are. Even the ones who disliked her song still can’t wait for her album photoshoots or her other songs from the album.
Now tell me this. If this was anyone else... if this was, say.... Soulja Boy... or even the Pussycat Dolls and they came out with a song that came from an album that had been highly anticipated for the best part of almost a year and the song disappointed the vast majority of fans... do you think they’d still be making support banners or getting creative on YouTube making their own versions of the music video? Hell no. They would either move onto the next ‘fad’ hip-hop band or artist and forget them. Or you know, if they were uncivilised like me, they’d go throw dog poop at their windows and heckle them in public.
But that is not the case with Vanessa Hudgens fans with their ‘Team Hudgens’ websites and support networks. They take fandom to a whole new level and I think... I think all you good-for-nothing beatniks could learn a thing or two from them. Yeah, that’s right, I’m lecturing you! OK... not really... because... you wouldn’t listen because... you’re horrible... Now you can say ‘but I detest Vanessa’. That’s fine. Everyone knows I’m not crazy-happy for her either. But not even the most insane Vanessa Hudgens’ hating dude-person can deny that Vanessa fans deserve a little recognition for what they do and for their dedication... and they have a lot of fun with it!
It kills me to say this because I am not a ‘touchy-feely-emotive’ person but it is beautiful, it really, REALLY is... to think some of these guys stayed up for hours talking online and waiting for this song... how they connected across countries and cultures just because they are fans of this one person. So these famous people can be a good thing in our lives after all! Now if only every single celebrity would band together for world peace... we’d be onto something.
So really, this is just a blog to say that if you are a Vanessa-crazy girl, guy or alien then you are part of something special. This is just a personal blog for me because this whole ‘Sneakernight’ thing got me thinking about bigger stuff... yeah, Vanessa Hudgens got me thinking about deeper issues- AMAZING... but I won’t talk about them here. Just a quick ‘keep it up, V-fenders!’ and I’m out.
Vanessa really doesn’t know how lucky she is but she is one of the more gracious stars who thanks her fans when receiving awards, so props to her for that! And ‘Sneakernight’ was horrible for me but I’m sure it’ll do something impressive in the charts because of these amazing, amazing fans... I swear, the government should recruit you guys with how organised you are...
Talking of organised...
Everyone needs to check out VanAshBrenique, they’ve started their own little campaign to get Vanessa’s song even more widely recognised. Apparently, they think Hollywood Records is screwing her over (can’t say I agree there, if the song sucks... not really the record company you can blame!) but check it out and lend a hand. They're also way better then JJ for updates on all things Disney and celebosphere!
